My (next) shoot?

As if wedding season here wasn’t busy enough, we just bought a new house!

So here’s my shoot idea:  I’m going to shoot the ENTIRE thing.  Shoot the packing the moving out, the empty new place, cleaning it up, boxes packed, the moving van/truck, new colors on the wall, colors half on the walls as its being done – all sorts of moving concepts.

I’m very excited to get back to work.  The summer months are always an incredibly difficult time for me to concentrate on stock – we shot 20 weddings in 15 weeks and we have 4 more over the next 2 weeks.  After that, I’m FREE!  NiltoMil will be BACK and ready to rock.

Anyhoo – so BSP is now a part of the SS empire, SXP is part of the Getty universe.  It really is going to come down to those 2 until it starts to fracture again, isn’t it?  I love business – it’s so predictable.  Fracturing, consolidation, aging, breaking apart…

What’s up in your lives since the beginning of the summer?  Just update me – products (ISyndica? Lookstat?), people, places you’ve gone – I’m just interested in the people part of having this blog right now – what have YOU been doing since we last really caught up?  :)

very nice idea Mat :)
I am like always shooting, keywording (boring), uploading… :P

lol good luck! I tried that last time I moved, the most I managed was some half unpacked boxes arranged in the new place, which took an hour to set up and shoot, by the time I’d done all that boxing, helped the guys load the van, etc. taking stock photos was one of the last thing on my mind! – but the idea is good, I find myself doing quite a lot of that kind of opportunistic photography

Oh man, that’s gonna be a lot in between all the stress of moving! I wish you the best, with that endeavor. I think you’re going to find that the stress and all the activity of moving day is going to pull you away – don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of stuff laying around, unpacked boxes, make sure to get the pizza and beer shot with all of your surrounded by the chaos. You don’t see it done with the entire fam, very often. Make sure to get the kids in there too. Then you can do painting/home improvements themes as well, as time goes on :D
