The majority of Black Friday ads have been posted and it’s time to see what we got for photographers.
First in computers.
If you need a PC, try this: Dell Vostro 200 Mini Tower – comes with 3 gig of ram and a 250 gig HD for $359.
Best Buy will also be carrying an AMD Phenom 4 Quad Core with 6 gig of ram and 640 gig HD with 21″ widescreen LCD for $599.? That’s a better deal if you need the power and are willing to wait in line.
Need a laptop?? Try the Turion 64×2 at Best Buy.? 3 gig of ram and a 160 gig hd with a 15″ screen for $379.
Next, computer accessories.
Western Digital 1 TB HD – $149 at Best Buy.
Maxtor 1 TB HD – $139 at Office Max.
Sandisk 8 gb portable jump drive – $17.99 (regularly $70!) – at Office Max.
Electronics Charging Station (battery chargers, etc) – $24.99 at Ace Hardware.
How about seating?
Red XL Comfort Seat (great posing seat for studios) – $49.88 JC Penney Door Buster sale.
High Back Executive Chair (long hours at the computer) – $59.99 at Office Max (regular $139.99).

Some miscellaneous stuff:
Display your images to clients on either:

Some real misc:? Step stool (great for portraits) – $9.99 at Ace Hardware while you’re getting that electronics charging station.? Also, a 10 Drawer Rolling Cart at Joann Fabrics for $29.99? Great to organize for the new year!
That’s all I have folks! Tell me what your favorite Black Friday specials are going to be.? All info courtesy of http://www.bfads.net
Great tip Beau! Just so you know – some stores like Walmart horde their stuff for BF in the back and don’t release it from now through BF. That’s going to be a place you want to BE at if you’re going out in the morning. This tip would work very well at places like Best Buy though and I will probably use it there!
Thanks!
Wowee! You guys are GOOD! I’m going to start planning my strategy!
Great info. I can’t wait until Friday to get some great deals!!!
I have yet to have seen anything worth getting up at 3am to go out in the cold and wait in line for something to save a few dollars. Most websites are offering some pretty good prices as well, so keep your eyes open for web deals.
I wonder why they don’t do a sale starting at midnight on Saturday night…
Thanks for putting this list together!
Now I have to get up early on friday… thanks matt!
Great tips. I am always looking for external hard drive space for backup for photographs, and working right now to find all those great deals.
This is great. I’d love to proof on that big TV. Now to see how to connect it to this iMac….
Wow, I could spend a LOT of time and $ (albeit less than I would)on these links. Thanks for sharing, Matt.

Great tips Matt, and I see you have changed the site a bit. I’ll be reading through it in the next few days. Thanx again for the tips.
Great List Matt… How about any wireless printers… That’s on my list this year!
Thanks all – glad you enjoy the list. Jamie – did you see my link to you? Wireless printer for under $100? ![]()
I think I’d better make my OWN shopping list now!
Great list Matt! Thanks for passing on the info about the deals. I am getting my credit card ready . . .
I may just have to drag myself out of bed at an ungodly hour for the 1TB hard drive. Thanks for the great info!
Oooo, I’ve been browsing lists all week and this one is fantastic! Thanks Matt!
oh how i wish we had black friday here in canada…!!
Thanks for doing the legwork Matt! By the way, don’t you think they should change Cyber Monday to Web Wednesday? It sounds so much better!

IF you are worried about stores running out of these items…
1) check with the store to see if they have a policy that says they will honor a lower price in the next 30 days. Most major retailers do.
2) Buy the item today at whatever price it is offered for. Do not open the package and keep your receipt
3) Go back to the store on Black Friday and ask them to honor the new, lower price. If not, return the item and instantly repurchase it.
